*THIS WIILL SHOCK YOU TO THE CORE*
I was actually HELPED with clearing the table after tea. Not by tiny elves, or a fairy godmother (yes please!), or even Father Christmas. I was helped by Margot!
To those of you who haven't yet dropped off your chair in amazement and surprise, and/or suffered a minute heart-attack upon reading the news;
The solution? Listen up parents - take detailed notes!!! (If your limbs are still in operation!)
ROLLER BLADES! Despite Marie making a HUGE mess whilst getting them out (breaking a clothes dryer and leaving clean washing all over the floor), and then proceeding to LEAVE them out after playing with them, Margot then decided to roller-blade around, eat dinner wearing them, and then roll backwards and forwards from the table to the kitchen carrying the glasses and salt and pepper. I was AMAZED. This is a huge improvement! Sadly I don't think it'll last, as roller-blade will be 'yesterday's thing' and tomorrow's new hobby will probably yet more mess-making.
Also, *trembling with fear* I have to bake cakes for a 'school breakfast' on Friday with Marie. Sorry, breakfast? CAKES? Surely schools are supposed to be encouraging healthy meals, and not sugar first thing in the morning!! (Have they NOT SEEN kids on sugar? Or the words: Sugar Rush and consequently, Sugar Crash?) So tomorrow is another shopping trauma for cake/cookie ingredients. Whoopdidoop.
Wish me luck, girls and boys! I'm biting my toes in nervous-anticipation already...
