1 week down, 5 to go!

Day two at Paris Fashion Week... I wore a goldy-coloured patterned jacket - my first purchase from the Champs Elysee's H&M flagship store when it opened - which matched perfectly with my Marc Jacobs mustard colour bag. Going for colour, I worked my raspberry jeans again (definitely one of my best buys!) and my Louboutins. The first show was Roland Mouret at the Grand Hotel, but it wasn't particularly exciting... Although the models were really friendly after the show - I LOVE seeing their hair and make-up still done up, and they always seem to look amazing in pretty much anything they come out wearing. People were wearing a LOT of big coats with cinched waists, and all week I've seen FUR FUR FUR! It's definitely IN. (Sorry animals...) It's all vintage if that counts? But even on the catwalks it's fur. So sweet, so soft... So Parisian.

My plans were to go to the Dior show which was later in the afternoon, but it was so cold despite the sunshine that I went back home with the plan to set out later. But by then, I was warmer and had stretched my toes out and ended up trying to think of reasons not to go to the Dior show. I could say it was an act of protest against John Galliano's Anti-semitism rant, but I'm sure if I was offered a front-row ticket I'd definitely be going... Or that I'm building up stamina to stand around backstage of the Grand Palais waiting for Karl Lagerfeld again next week? (Oh yes, I AM going to see him again, goddamnit!) Last time I waited for 4 hours, so if you're reading this, Karl, please hurry up this time round? - I am hoping to make the Valentino venue by the afternoon... Also, I actually really wanted to get on top of my French work! I figured my aunt would be really chuffed with me for making this life-changing decision of either standing outside in the breezy weather in 6-inch stilettos hoping for a glimpse of Kate Moss again or working an extra bit harder towards opening an A-grade filled envelope in Summer... (If not the latter, I'll be banging on Kate Moss' door!) I keep trying to convince myself that only celebrities I hate turned up... maybe Kelly Osbourne is into Dior? Then I wouldn't have any regrets at all. I might just cry if someone I adored actually showed up...

So relieved this week is over, and I hate to admit it but it has gone surprisingly fast and relatively pain-free! I was back in the Scenic today, only to find that it's in a worse state than before as it only has it's left wing mirror! Which is really difficult because I need the right mirror to see down the other side of the car (as I sit on the left side). It's an absolute battered wreck, and the only part that I am to be blamed for is a very slight dent in the front number plate. THAT IS IT.

Tomorrow is an extremely exciting and once-in-a-lifetime/ hardly-ever-happens-to-anyone experience, so WATCH THIS SPACE! :) There'll be lots of photos. :D And now I am going to rest my feet and live in my FitFlops for the weekend. I just want a big thick duvet, an ENGLISH film, and my friends to laugh with. FIVE WEEKS!
