The first show was Zac Posen at the Palais de Tokyo and was a very teeth-chattering start to my week! it was good though - lots of interest in my Louboutins. I'm so glad I bought them out with me - no matter how scratched the soles get (and I've heard the boutiques don't re-paint the soles anymore!) they're worth every penny I spent and deserve to walk the streets and carpets at Paris Fashion Week!
After an hour and a half though it was so cold I was physically shivering and couldn't even feel my toes! A quick recharge at Starbucks and I was waiting by the Grand Hotel near the Opera House for the Balmain show. I love Balmain ever since his Fall 2009 show when he put studs, sequins and pointed shoulders back on the map. Heaps of people turned up to wait around outside for this one, and by then a few rays of sunshine had crept over Paris. Standing outside Balmain wasn't as exciting as it was way too crowded, but it was a nice surprise when an unexpectedly short Kanye West showed up and smiled directly at me amidst all the paparazzi! I'm quite grateful to the fact I didn't get a glimpse of his diamond-replaced teeth, but he seemed very lovely nonetheless.
Lots of red trousers worn today, and also plenty of maxi/vintage skirts with bulky shoes or wedges underneath for the 'Geek Chic' look. It worked.

It's been a long day but it's already drawing to the end of the week (36 days to go!). In between shows and whilst on the hunt for sunshine I went up the Eiffel Tower (not much fun though without a friend - Get back here, Rosie!) but didn't feel very 'enlightened' whilst standing 300 feet from the ground... I guess Moses' mountain must have been a lot bigger to have spent 40 days there. Maybe I could climb the Eiffel Tower EVERY day for the next 36 days? Now that would be a challenge!
