Back into the swing of reality...

Being with Melissa and Pasquale this weekend has made me so motivated to really work hard on my French! it was so amazing hearing them just flip between speaking French and English, and so good that I could understand everything they were saying (obviously for English, but amazingly the French as well) - they speak fabulously clear and understandable yet fluent French! Typical Parisians seem to mash their words altogether just to confuse tourists and slow-learners...

So today I sat and worked hard on my French work! and it was amazing - I actually had a BREAKTHROUGH. Yes. I was writing an essay, and I didn't even have to think of what I wanted to say in english first to then translate it into French - it just came out in French! So brilliant, and it just motivates me more to read and keep studying French as much as possible now whilst I only have 4 weeks (and 4 days) left to go to really get my head round it!

So a relatively quiet day, although William is STILL hanging about here... He's not going to find any slopes around Paris I'm afraid! JUST GET OUT! GO! VITE! Life is SO much less stressful without the parents about, and I actually do love the girls to pieces (I never thought I'd say that) and things just run so much smoothly when the parents aren't around and aren't poking their noses in and fussing about the girls getting to school etc. I'm not going to let them sleep in and live off biscuits, ok?
